A lesser-known application, but one that is certainly also possible, is using it as a cold compress. Stick the pillow in the freezer in a sealed plastic bag for a few hours and it is ready to use!

A few tips
- Warm it up little by little in the microwave. Start with 1 minute at 600W and build up from there with 30 seconds or so until you reach the ideal temperature.
- Lightly moisten before reheating, this will heat it up faster. Do not reheat a damaged pillow. Time for a new one!
- Place it on a clean plate in the microwave. Food leftovers often stick in the microwave and when heated with a cherry stone cushion on top, this can lead to spots, smoke production or fire. So always use a plate for a safe relaxing moment.
- Never apply a heated cherry stone pad to inflammations, this will only make it worse. For this, use as a cold compress is recommended.
